Comments Thread For: Maidana Loses More Than 60-Pounds as Exhibition Bout Nears

Former two division world champion Marcos "Chino" Maidana has lost a lot of weight for his upcoming return, on April 18 in Argentina, in an exhibition fight with kickboxing star Jorge Acero Cali. Maidana has been out of the ring since September of 2014, when he lost a twelve round decision in his rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

Don't know how to post videos so idk if this will work but man Chino looks great.

I was disappointed when he cancelled his comeback fight with Lo Greco. According to Ariza, Al negotiated a deal with Chino & PBC soley for the purpose of stopping him from signing elsewhere. Then failed to deliver on the advances they agreed upon to cover Chinos camp & his move to the United States. Then his fight date got pushed back indefinitely & Chino said f-uck it, packed up & left. He got played and signed with PBC under false pretenses.

Apparently he's still trying to get out of his PBC deal & plans to link back with Ariza once he does. There's like a 20 minute video on YouTube where Ariza explains it all.

When your money starts looking funny... You come back to reality really fast... I heard he bought a bunch of cows and property.. I bet those property taxes are starting to make him uncomfortable.. Its good for him to come back.. But now he's playing catch up.. Hopefully he still has his killer instinct!
