Comments Thread For: Felix Verdejo Gets Edge Over Marquez in Ongoing Legal Battle

According to Sara Hernandez, the lawsuit between boxer Flix "Diamante" Verdejo and his former coach and manager Ricky Mrquez took a step forward on Tuesday after senior judge Ismael lvarez Burgos dismissed the claim against the Department of Recreation and Sports (DRD), that Mrquez filed, where he sought to declare that it was unconstitutional that the provisions of the Professional Boxing Regulations limit the contractual terms between handlers and boxers.

Is BoxingScene being paid to report on this hype job? He's been exposed, nobody cares about him. I feel for PR they haven't had a good fighter emerge since Cotto.

Hyenas and vultures fighting for the scraps. Stress is a killer, but so is hype. It's like the promoters try to hypnotize us and the fighter goes to sleep.

I knew Marquez was just another scumbag ripping off young boxers on the island. Aside from that, Verdejo has a lot of talent but his guidance ******. If he finds the right team he can still do great things in boxing, and I know he can be champ. As far as the hype, blame Bob Arum and his handlers for that...let's see where he goes from here...hopefully away from the distractions here on the island, or Florida...go west young man.
