That’s the crossroad I’m at with Fury. He looks more like an opportunist than a true champion. A true champion wins new territories and defend them as the spoils of war. Fury wins and retreats. When you do that, you’re not a true fighting man.

I’ll give him his due for beating the big bronze bummer but he still has stripes to earn. And it starts with a unification bout with the unified champion.

He has to defend them a few times.

I think both he and Joshua have an asterisk next to them for now. Joshua never beat the real champion, Fury never defended. Its not going to be settled until that fight happens.

He's defended his lineal title multiple times.

If you win a legit belt from a legit opponent you are a champion. Period. No requirement for defenses.

Yes we can.. you beat the champ for the title, and you are the champ plain and simple.

Only man other than Ali to win the Ring title twice.

AJ can only dream of reaching Fury's boxing credentials.

Wilder was the WBC world champion and Fury just KOed him so he is indeed a world champion. He was the lineal champ for beating Wlad but after not defending that title for years I no longer considered him the lineal champion. He is the WBC champion and if he beats AJ he will again be the lineal champion to me.
