Comments Thread For: Gary Russell: I Want Loma Rematch For Myself; Not Fans, Not Media

Russell is very confident he'd become the first fighter to defeat Davis in what would be a high-profile boxing event in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area. The long-reigning WBC featherweight champion has hardly forgotten, though, about the lightweight champion who dealt Russell what remains his lone professional loss 5 years ago.

I don't see him ever beating Lomachenko.

Too inactive and he isn't really improving.

Loma is just a notch or 2 above Russell in terms of overall ability and skill.

Gary is very gifted but Loma's style is just all wrong for him. He just could not keep pace with Loma's movement.
