  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Fortuna Very Tough Fighter, But Winnable Fight For Luke Campbell

MIAMI-Whether it's merely the next one or proves to be the last, Luke Campbell likes his chances in his third crack at a lightweight belt. The 2012 Olympic Gold medalist from Hull, England has awaited marching orders for his next fight, which will come versus former two-division titlist Javier Fortuna for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight title. The two sides spent more than a month negotiating terms for the mandated clash, even going through four separate extensions before finally reaching a deal to avoid a purse bid hearing.

Well, at least they admit Campbell is no road warrior. They say he lost to Linares because the fight was in the Los Angeles area. Like Linares is from L.A? He lost to Linares because Linares is better. Another nostalgic pugilist, I have to be in front of my 90000 fans type.

He lost because it was a Golden Boy promotion? So he won't lose if Hearn fixes it?

Linares by far the better fighter on the night for sure but it’s the promoters job to put wind in his fighters sails

I agree with Hearn Cambell has a good chance beating Fortuna

He’s still youngish and has good pedigree ... why not big him up ?

          He’s 32 - that’s not really youngish in anyone’s book.
