Comments Thread For: Collard Blasts Out Raymond Guajardo in Two Round Shocker

Clay Cassius' Collard just shook up the boxing world. In what he insisted will be his last boxing fight before sliding over to mixed martial arts' Professional Fighters League, the 26-year old Utah-bred slugger scored a massive upset in stopping Raymond Tito' Guajardo in the 2nd round of their Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FS1 preliminary battle Saturday evening at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Guajardo’s corner and the ref were straight trash!

This kid is only 19 and took waaaay too many head shots for my liking.

There shouldn’t have been a round 2, but it happened and it was gruesome and de****able.

Great upset win for the unknown and overlooked Collard.

I’m glad this happened I’m glad Collard won his 2nd straight against an undefeated prospect. I wish more of these small town USA White guys would come back to the sport of boxing and stop with that Mma mess. I hope collard comes back and fights on PBC. His style is very much like a TKD style of punching, something I started at a very young age myself. I am willing to bet his background includes TKD, Kenpo Karate or something along those lines. His punches were straight and I think that style is difficult for boxers who are used to more orthodox stances. Consequently it’s the same manner of punching that McGregor showed against mayweather.
Oh and by the way, that kid who got knocked out made himself look like a sodding muppet grabbing the mike and talking and taking away the Utah fighter’s moment

Could tell a mile away he was a prima donna right when the fight started and sealed that right up by pushing into Collard's interview like a rude little punk acting as if he sht didnt stink like he owned the arena!

Upset of the year and round of the year!

That kid needs a new corner crew cuz that took years off his career!

He was still hurt going into round 2 and they didn’t even try to buy him more time or even told him to just make it out of the ring and get his legs underneath him!

Horrid corner and ****** ref but exciting fight with big unexpected results!

I know most of us want to see guys go out on their shield but imo this young dude took way too many shots. His corner needed to stop it earlier.

That was BS for him to step in on Collards interview that was about the most disrespectful thing he could’ve done.

He was a knock out waiting to happen he was getting tagged in his last fight as well just found someone who could take his punches. He was throwing hooks and leaving his hands down while standing straight up can't be doing that stuff in the pros even against a former MMA fighter his dad should teach him some defense.
