Tevin Farmer wants to face the first fighter to beat Joseph Diaz Jr. next, once he defeats Diaz on Thursday night in Miami. The IBF junior lightweight champion called out Gary Russell Jr. on a recent conference call. Unlike lots of featherweights and junior lightweights, Farmer is more than willing to box the WBC 126-pound champion in what would be the biggest fight of Farmer's career.

I would love that fight, "IF" Farmer wins tonight! Rene Alvarado would be a good fight, and they're both @ 130, and both on DAZN! Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia are on DAZN too! Surprised Tevin isn't calling any of them out?

First Farmer has to beat Diaz which I'm not sure he will then he has to get Russell Jr to move up then talk Haymon into fighting on DAZN which is unlikely then waiting till the groundhog shows his face next year to get Russell Jr in the ring IF all that happens I favor Gary Russell Jr that's alot of if's and when's though

Do bellator fighter’s constantly call out Ufc fighters? I mean does someone sign with bellator of their own fruition and then rant about wanting to challenge fighters from Ufc? Does that happen? Do Nippon League teams rant about wanting to face MLB teams? Do Canadian football teams issue challenges to multiple NFL teams?

Maybe Russell is the boogeyman because his existence is regularly in question.
Personally, I wouldn't be really looking forward to Russell v Farmer if Farmer beats Diaz. It would be a strategic chess match type of fight which is fine but the action would consist of a series of pitty pats.
I like Jo Jo, at least he brings the heat! Go Jo Jo!!

Yah can talk about Russell all you want;

But when it come to skill set in boxing today; he’s one of the best so I can’t see him losing to a less skilled guy like Farmer with no power. He hit like Paulie Mallinagi. Russell is the real deal and I don’t care if he fights every dam 5 years because he wins 96.77% of the time!
