    NEW YORK Jarrett Hurd was much more concerned with what Kay Koroma had to say than the fans that booed in each of the final four rounds of his fight Saturday night. The former IBF/IBO/WBA 154-pound champ pleased his new trainer by performing how they had practiced during their first training camp together in Colorado Springs, California. Hurd was more effective defensively, used his jab much more and consistently resisted the temptation to trade with Francisco Santana during their 10-round middleweight match at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

      That guy Santana threw 219 jabs and connected with only 5. How do you miss 214 jabs to a guy that doesn't move his head much? Too funny.

          If he wants to put on a sparring session do that in the gym, not for paying fans.

          Easy money, he has no confidance otherwise he would have fought Williams

                  you can choose to believe that....maybe its true

                  but his own trainer said he told him that if they were going to work together he couldn't fight Williams next...koroma said he wouldn't be a part of it if he rematched Williams right away

                  not what fans would want to see...but prob a smart thing for hurd....otherwise hurd would probably revert right back to doing what he knows and how he used to fight....hes trying to fix/change/add stuff to what he already does

                  hurd will be back in the mix soon...I don't think its a confidence issue

                                  I thought Hurd looked terrible. He was fighting a guy half his size and less than average.
