that's hard to say. pro matchmakers use boxrec. ever heard someone say "he's not in the top 50?" think they're talking about an alphabet rankings? think ring mag puts out a top 50 memo somehwere and all these guys are reading it?

it's not perfect, but boxrec ratings are definitely a good place to start when you're looking into the ranking of a fighter without a world title.


as for the TS, you ahve to consider that professional boxing was illegal in russia / ussr, and all their boxers stayed in the amateurs. where they got the f#cking tar beaten out of them by 18 year old american kids like cassius clay, joe frazier, and george foreman.
