Comments Thread For: Colbert Drops, Out-Points Corrales; Wins WBA Interim 130-Pound Title

PHILADELPHIA Chris Colbert wants to fight Leo Santa Cruz by the end of this year. The unbeaten Brooklyn boxer took a significant step Saturday night toward securing that type of fight. Colbert scored a flash knockdown during the 10th round and otherwise out-boxed former champion Jezreel Corrales in a 12-round, 130-pound championship bout before Julian Williams and Jeison Rosario fought in the main event at Temple University's Liacouras Center.

Snoozefest. Corrales was always awful. They could've cherrypicked a more entertaining fighter for Colbert's first title fight.

Gotta appreciate that the kid wanted this type of challenge at this stage of his career!

Colbert brought the fight and crowd alive after making adjustments!

This can only help him as he finally got some higher level experience needed!

        Colbert is not good

Colbert is not good. He looked bad against a fighter with no power. He won't do well against a good boxer that's active and has power.

I warned everyone about Stephen Colbert’s overrated ass.
          Stop listening to ldbc videos.

Get off the train while you still can, cause its going straight into the trash can where J-Rock just went.
