ATLANTIC CITY Jaron Ennis easily won another fight Friday night. Bakhtiyar Eyubov bravely tried his best to test the gifted Philadelphia welterweight, but the shorter, slower Eyubov was no match for the one the sport's top prospects on the Claressa Shields-Ivana Habazin undercard. Ennis knocked down Eyubov twice during the first round and mostly pounded away at him until referee Earl Brown stopped their one-sided fight 34 seconds into the fourth round at Ocean Resort Casino's Ovation Hall.

Ennis really isn’t anything special, a quick combination puncher but could honestly tell a good inside fighter giver him trouble. Plus you can’t keep fighting Tomato cans.. 25 wins now and ranked what 35th? Ennis gets hit too much to be elite, and don’t see the power translating to better opponents. And can we address the steroid nips on Ennis?

Far from blown away. No way to tell until he fights somebody with a pulse.

Really can't wait to see this dude in with decent opposition to his own skill set.
Reminds me abit of Spence when he was destroying guys after 20+ fights and noone wanting to give him the break out fight.
Hopefully Boots can Mando for a belt this year.
            Yer I'm ridin with Ennis.

Ennis may be strong but he is not slick or with great defense....a little like paint by the numbers, does a number of things well but his worst trait is he telegraphs almost all of his punches which is a huge mistake and is so concentrated on offence, he leaves himself open too much. To me, Chris Colbert is the prospect with clearly a true slick style and higher boxing IQ and better technique.

If only James Kirkland had a chin once he started fighting non tomato cans.

Ennis needs more development, which is OK. He's only 22 years old. Maybe by the time he's 25 he'll be a lot more polished. Right now he'd get KTFO at the elite level...

I enjoyed the fight, while it lasted. Thought Eyubov deserved to be given more time, as he appeared to have plenty of fight still in him, despite those knock downs. Ennis has fast hands, but definitely needs to tighten up his defence if he wants to take it to the next level.
