Comments Thread For: Hart: My Power's Not Being Taken Serious In Joe Smith Fight

Boxing bores Jesse Hart sometimes. The veteran light heavyweight knows it's the safest, smartest path to victory for him. There are just times when Hart wants to go at it, even against a supposedly superior puncher, because he feels obligated to entertain fans that pay to watch him fight.

I think it's mostly cause he's coming up from SMW and hasn't stopped anyone at LHW yet. I dont doub't he could stop Smith but it seems a bit overly risky. Hart looks like a good boxer puncher a level below Bivol. Though he can fight inside where as Bivol can not or chooses not to at least. Not sure how their power compares though. Bivol almost had Smith out of there but it was the final seconds of the fight in the 12th and this is only 10. If this was a 12 rounder I'd almost certainly bet for it to not go the distance rather than back anyone specifically.
