    Former world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa has received praise from his head trainer Pedro Roque. Last month when he faces Gervonta Davis for the WBA "regular" lightweight title, the Olympic gold medal winner injured his Achilles tendon in the second round. It appeared to have come after a knockdown took place. After some confusion in the corner, it was decided that Gamboa would continue to fight.

    whenever you have a fighter approaching 40 like gamboa they are much more prone to injury and much longer to heal
