Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker To Return on Garcia-Vargas Undercard on 2/29

Last week Sky Sports reported that former heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (26-2) would return to the ring in the month of February against an opponent to be determined. Parker's trainer Kevin Barry has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that the New Zealander will return on February 29th in Frisco, Texas. The DAZN streamed card will be headlined by the welterweight clash pitting former 4-division champion Mikey Garcia against former 2-division titlist Jessie Vargas. The card will feature WBC flyweight champion Julio Cesar Martinez defending his title against Jay Harris.

Parker Needs a big win ,his time is closing in. Not sure he gets by even Pulev right now ,the big punchers are not shrinking so time isn’t on his side .

Hopefully he fights Chisora? What happened with this fight?

He would smack pulev all round the ring!

It would also help if someone had the balls to step up and call him out.

Fast Eddie ain't doing jack for parker like he did jack for ortiz when he was signed with matchroom.

Ortiz v Parker would be a decent fight.

Parker got sick, pulled out of the scheduled fight and chisora has been ducking him ever since.

Parker couldn’t smack Hughie but he’s going to smack the big brawny Pulev who did a number on Hughie with a sole jab ? Sorry but that’s not proven .

Ortiz is not top 10 until he also proves it ,I’d say Parker outworks him .

I wanna se him against Wilder. he is young, fast, pretty skilled. I hardly believe Wilder stops him.
