Hypothetically speaking if they met at 154 I could see Bud being dropped early but still winning a close UD or SD in a technical fight. Bud has length and great fundamentals. Canelo is and awesome counter puncher but really wasnt his best at the lower weight class.

Seriously?
Lol. Ok. Canelo is a super middleweight, Crawford is a welterweight. It would likely go the same was as Canelo -Khan. Crawford would be outboxing Canelo before Canelo would stop him ice cold.
Canelo is huge for welterweights.
And no, Canelo can`t make 154 anymore.Last edited by JakeTheBoxer; 10-15-2021, 07:38 AM.

I’m not talking about now. I know damn well Canelo can’t make 147, 154, 160, and barely holding on at 168 now. I’m strictly talking hypothetically way back then when Canelo used to fight at 154. How would that version of Canelo play out against current Crawford.

He’s not really a pure sharpshooter who can systematically pick his opponent. He can box well from the outside, but I feel like Canelo’s punches are crispier and sharper. Crawford would only have a footwork advantage and that’s it.

Crawford’s biggest strength is his ability to bully his way to go for the kill when he can’t fully outbox an opponent, but he’d play right into Canelo’s hand by doing so. They’re both natural-born bullies, but power and size do matter. Canelo looks like more well-rounded boxer. I’m still skeptical about Crawford’s inside game.
