His hand wraps supposedly were illegal and that gave him an advantage?

Aye. THere was speculation that he had been illegally dressing his hands. In one of his fights, prior to the match the opponent (can't recall who off the top of my head) demanded they be re-wrapped but Triniwrap's corner refused and such.

this is a fantasy matchup that i wish would of happened. i'm probably one of the biggest fans of both fighters, both trinidad and quartey has the power to hurt anyone in their weight class and both are known for getting kd occasionally without really being hurt, but what would worry me about trinidad is he doesn't have great head movement and gets hit with the jab often and we all know ike has one of the best and powerful jabs in the business, so i would pick bazooka just on that jab but could see it going either way.

if trinidad uses the left hook he could be successful. quartey has been vulnerable to that punch in the past....i think it'd be a toss up. quartey at his best beats trinidad at his best though. the quartey who blasted out vince phillips would have beaten trinidad.

I think Trinidad is too strong and will take to many rounds with his power.
Ike could box well, but he would leave himself open for shots too often.
I think it would be a close fight, and make it to the judges.

Are you kidding me? Quartey would annihilate Tito, Winky beat the **** out of Tito with his jab, just imagine what Ike can do with his.

I said educated opinions...there is a huge difference between quartey and winky

Winky has a tighter defense and has a better chin. He is also bigger than quartey

I think Tito wins it but Ike makes him pay badly with that surgical jab.

I could see this fight going either way, but Ike at the top of his game seems to be very dangerous and if he used the jab to set up everything else and didn't elect to trade I would pick him. If he decides to just trade or Trinidad lures him in to fighting that fight then I could see Trinidad winning. Tough call but I'd go with Quartey.

Trinidad was too big and strong at 147lbs for Ike to really hurt him. Stunning Tito and knocking him down are 2 totally different things. Tito only looked hurt versus Hopkins and that was at Middleweight. Ike is a tough fighter but I dont think he could've beaten Tito. I think the fighter to beat Tito at 147 would've been a prime Sweet Pea, anyone who sits on there punches would lose to Trinidad, ODLH knew this thats why he totally changed his fighting style for his fight with Trinidad.
