Again, it's not like they become champion on just boxing alone, so what's your point?

This I disagree with. Quality has declined tremendously. Now is just guys standing and trading blows. It has become a boxing match with guys who can't box. And then the occasional muay thai round kick. It used to be waayyy better back in the days with Pride and Strikeforce. It is not a coincidence that some of their all time best fighters actually came from these organizations. And not mention the crazy low amount they get.

All these tough tough talks but none of them have the balls to step up to Dana . Except Tito Ortiz back in the days.

          What are you talking about?

My point is it’s much easier to become a UFC champion than a world champion in boxing...

          What are you arguing?

Denium kind of nailed it when he mentioned how unskilled fighters are. There's no sweet science aspect to it.

It's all over the place now because the dedication necessary to excel in one martial art can maybe only take you so far. Styles make fights, the wrestler more often than not whoops the boxer. The Muay Thai gets wrecked if he doesn't take out the BJJ quickly. My dad loves it but I'm far more interested in boxing.

That it's not easier like you claim it is. You'd have a point if a boxer only used his boxing skills to become a UFC champion but if they use techniques from other styles (in which they truly have to do), then why should it matter if they were a boxing champions before? In order to become a champion, you have to use skills outside of boxing, which is the whole point of MMA; mixing the styles up.

So despite the fact many of them have black belts in styles such as BJJ, Karate, Judo, and things like that, and use those techniques to win most of their fights, they're still not great at it? They're not "masters of their discipline" despite all the accomplishments they made with their discipline? They're just average?

You clearly don't follow the sport at all. Everybody specializes in one style but it means nothing if they don't mix it up with elements from other styles. That's what mixed-martial arts is. MMA is high skilled sport. You're just not familiar with it enough to see that.

Low skilled sport. Jack of all trades master of none. How can you have BJJ fighters with no gi's?

                  It's a toughman competition

Why does it matter if they don't wear gis? That's got nothing to do with anything.

It's not a low skilled sport. You just don't know anything about it. "Toughman competition"? Just stick to what you do know, which is obviously not MMA.

You're arguing something entirely different buddy.

Let's just say you hypothetically were to get an ungodly amount of money if you became a world champion. But you got to pick either MMA or Boxing... You'd pick MMA. You wouldn't take the more difficult route.
