If any of these fighters had beaten Floyd nobody would be saying Floyd was past his prime, but unless they fought him before 2005, Floyd was already in brittle hands mode.

maidana was at his best. was maidana elite...no but i'm grasping at straws here. this is why you don't fight guys at their best. if maidana could give him all he could handle imagine how worried he must have been against real elite fighters which is why the fights never happened. you simply fight them when they arent as good and let the idiot fans fill in the rest for you. hey it worked to a certain extent and now canelo is doing the same. the blueprint is there so why not use it.

ready made excuses for the lack of big fights. he couldn't fight the best since he was already past his best himself! starting in 2005? so the baldomir fight was already past it floyd? castillo fought him before 2005 and beat him but he was injured there too. he's basically been injured his entire career. what a medical marvel to find his way into the ring 50 times with a broken body in all 50 fights! you think if pac or maidana had gotten the decision over floyd his fans wouldn't be saying how old and broken down his hands were? you just did it!
