Comments Thread For: Joshua's IBF Mandatory Defense vs. Pulev Tabled For April

Now that Anthony Joshua has regained control of the four versions of his heavyweight titles, he must defend them, and he has a pair of defenses already on the docket. Standing in line are two mandatory challengers in Kubrat Pulev via the IBF, and Oleksandr Usyk via the WBO. The question is who will get the first crack?

“Hostage Anthony”. Please stop playing the victim. Drop the belt.

Sounds like Anthony WANTS to make his mandatory defenses. Not sure why you'd want him to drop the belt. Kinda weird...

No complaints here . Organisation orders a mandatory , someone wins then they issue a mandatory. Ibf are the only ones sticking to the rules at the moment.

As long as he faces usyk later in the year. Don't see the point dropping a belt when fury and wilder are tied up. If he dropped this belt and went straight to usyk we wouldn't get a fury/wilder fight anyway. We would probably get the Whyte rematch.

Hopefully Daniel Dubious proves to be more of a real fighter than this chump. Looking forward to his ascension and the possible matchups that await him.

There are some good, possibly even great UK fighters but seeing as how Aj is the most recognizable face over there he makes UK boxing look really bad to the rest of the world.

For Dubious Gorman was a good opponent but this one looks terrible most people are predicting a round at most. Still light years ahead of Wilder at the same point in his carear but well behind Joshua, have a look at boxrec the facts speak for themselves. Wilder single handly put back US heavyweight boxing years, imagine if Wilder had picked opponents like Joshua and unified against Klitschko or Martin or Parker etc etc etc he'd be the biggest star in boxing, US fans would flock to him and he's sell out stadiums.

Easy fight for AJ. After Klitschko had destroyed Pulev the guy has only fought bums and seems to be gun-shy. AJ inside 6.

Pulev has been knocking over bums waiting to cash out with his AJ pension scheme.

Easy work for AJ. Get these mandos out of the way.

As limited as Pulev is, he will be like a shark smelling blood in the water. Trying to land a solid head shot on Joshua.
