Comments Thread For: Bes***** Would Like To Unite WBA Belts With Manny Pacquiao

Welterweight contender Alexander Bes***** (14-0, 9 KOs) of Russia would like to secure a crack at Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao. Last month, Bes***** won a twelve round unanimous decision over Radzhab Butaev to win the vacant WBA "regular" welterweight title. Pacquiao holds the WBA's "super" title at 147-pounds - which is recognized as the true WBA title of the weight class. He captured the belt back in July with a twelve round decision win over Keith Thurman.

Rather see him unify the belts with Vergil Ortiz who’s the WBA gold champion. Got Vergil in the one by brutal KO late in the fight.

Hopefully the Bes*****-Ugas winner fights Crawford in 2020. Maybe the WBO will even allow a unification with the WBA regular title. I wonder what Crawford's first fight of 2020 will look like. Crawford's already ran through Benavidez and Kavaliauskas on Top Rank's stable. With Bes***** and Abdukakhorov busy, it only leaves the likes of van Heerden or Imam.

Btw, I'm pretty sure Thurman ain't fighting bum Broner. Or Danny rematch or Porter rematch in the first half of 2020.

If Thurman is smart, getting the Bes***** fight in the first half of 2020 for the WBA regular title which Manny held not too long ago, would be the most ideal for him.

It would also be a good fight for Bes*****. He could measure himself up amongst the elite welterweights.

Ideal welter agenda considering recent developments:

              Thurman vs Bes*****
              Danny vs Redcach (already done)
Mikey vs Jesse (in the works)
              Porter vs Lipinets

This is to avoid elite welters fighting other elite welters coming off a loss

Like Porter vs Crawford or Mikey vs Pacquiao

Spence should deal with his IBF mandatory.

In the most ideal world, I would schedule Pacquiao vs Crawford in the first half of 2020.

How can the WBA unify with itself?

I agree. But id also like to see Thurman challenge Crawford as well. If he beats Crawford which he has a shot of. He wins the belt that was robbed from Manny and would make for an interesting rematch with Manny....
