  • Comments Thread For: Ruiz's Trainer: Joshua Surprised Me; Fought A Great Fight

Anthony Joshua has taken some criticism for the mostly safe strategy he employed while winning his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. Ruiz's trainer, however, is among those that gave the British superstar credit for how well he boxed in their immediate rematch. The 6-feet-6 Joshua came into their second bout 10 pounds lighter than when they fought the first time, and used his jab and legs to out-point Ruiz by big margins on all three scorecards Saturday night in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Ruiz’s trainer kinda said that Joshua ran, tongue and cheek from how it sounds, the specific words he chose. Because we have seen a lot of HW’s box that way before. But I will actually take what the trainer said at face value and that he believes Joshua boxed great and didn’t run, LOL!!!

I don't need to see a rematch any time soon. If Andy can beat a couple top ten guys and get into decent shape maybe the trilogy. Until then he's a few bucks richer and hopefully gets back in the gym.

I'm surprised this idiot didn't care about his fighter and his fkn weight, but like I said yesterday...there will be a 3rd fight and ruiz knows that so he didn't really care, he knows josh ain't fighting wilder nor fury..he'll fight him after he's done with cruiserweight Usyk..joshua is a coward.

There be no 3rd fight I reckon he has blown his chances with his lack of discipline as world champion

No way yesterday's ruiz can beat yesterday's aj. I think only Fury can - almost for sure - since he's much taller and has great movement.

Wilder could also but he should have to catch him.

Why couldn't Floyd give rematches to fights he won convincingky? You see, you can.lose rematch even if you win first fight easy. And you can certainly give rematch if you win first fight

He’ll fight Wilder before he fights AJ again, and wouldn’t it be funny if that was his route back to an 3rd bout, could happen folks!

Joshua fans popping back up from their hibernation after 6 months of fan boy depression. Lmaooo. Crawl back into your holes, he's still the 3rd string in the hw division and a boring decsion win over a tub of lard won't change that.
