I hate to say it, but I think Wilder would've beaten Prime Tyson

. Not quite a bum but very limited skill set and yeah Tyson destroys Wilder easy.

I’m not a huge Tyson fan; I’ve always considered him overrated by too many, but I’ve always given him his props. Mike would’ve beaten Wilder. Yeah, Deontay probably hits harder than Tyson ever did, but you’ve gotta land that shot first. I think Mike would’ve bored his way through Wilder’s weak defenses and clobbered him. That quick, elusive, pressure style of Tyson’s would’ve ended the fight early.

Thats exactly the style I don't understand....
Why use the left hand to block the opponents vision?

Not sure how wilder would deal with ferocious combination punches of Tyson with power?

wilder literally was getting outboxed for 6 rds straight and couldn't land a single shot against 40 year old journeyman who's never had a title. STOP IT.

Wilder is made for prime Tyson. Wilder would really struggle to catch Tyson with that straight right because Tyson would be coming in too low and ripping combinations to body and head. Let's not get too carried away here, an excellent finish from Wilder, but Ortiz won every round up until the KO.

I am not too sure. These guys just don't learn. You have to get inside, smother and hit Deontay Wilder, if you are going to stand any chance of defeating him.

Sticking and moving while playing keep away is not going to get the job done. One is going to fight Wilder at short range on the inside in order to beat him and Mike Tyson does just that.

The guy who posted this thread is an absolute moron. Tyson would easily slip Wilder's right hand. The only reason why Wilder looks so good is the current crop of heavyweights suck. What does it say about the heavyweight division if they cannot neutralize a right hand. Wilder only has one punch and it is an obvious right hand yet today's heavyweights are so bad they cannot train to take Wilder's right hand away. Wilder only looks so good because everyone else is so bad. The 70s-90s heavyweights would of destroyed him easily.
