As the war of words rages on between the two, their now thrice-scheduled title fight remains on course of Jan. 10 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. However, Croatia's Habazin (20-3, 7KOs) had plenty to say in a story recently published on BoxingScene.com, verbally firing back at claims made by Shields through a recent Instagram live video chat, along with her team's belief that they are no longer being given a fair shake in the terms in place for their 154-pound title fight.

The article says the brother was not an official member of the team. He wasn't there by coincidence and he wasn't there to support Habazin.

Within the context of what happened, team Shields should be bending over backwards to accommodate Habazin. Clearly one side doesn't fancy the fight, but both sides are pointing fingers at the other. Team Shields says it is Habazin. Habazin says it is Shields.

My view is that if Habazin wanted out, she already has a valid excuse with what happened to her trainer. Shields is the one that would lose face if she backs out. On that basis, I put a bit more weight in what Habazin is saying.
