Belts do matter to Brandon Figueroa, enough to where he wants the chance to earn them in the ring. In the wake of receiving an upgrade from "interim" to "Regular" titlist by the World Boxing Association (WBA) prior to his upcoming title defense versus Julio Ceja, the unbeaten junior featherweight couldn't help but feel as if he's already been denied the thrill of victory.

I wish the Figueroa boys would learn how to box. I know it's called the fight game, but getting in great shape and overpowering lesser lights will only work until somebody starts moving, then it turns into a chicken chasing show. No recourse, no plan B, chase and miss all night hoping for the aggression points.

Agreed. Or at least study JCC's playbook on how to effectively cut the ring, when tenacity alone isn't enough.
