  • Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder-Luis Ortiz II: Best Laid Plans

By Clliff Rold - 2019 started with a fairly clear heavyweight picture. There were three guys. There was everyone else. Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, and Tyson Fury set apart from their peers. Rank them in whatever order one wanted and it all still came back to those three. They were unbeaten, all claiming to be the true king of the class, with...

Good insight. Wilder is taking a risk vs Ortiz, who will put everything he has in this match.

Ortiz AND Ruiz as winners would mean an immediate unification bout? Not sure of this.

And Fury...will his mad mind allow him to go on boxing or will he devote himself to something else?

Too many variables. My take is: Wilder wins on saturday. Ruiz wins on Dec 7th. Then..Wilder vs Fury II (if Fury still in boxing) or vs kownacki. After that, possibly, unification.

Wilder will reign for a while. I see no plausible way of him losing even if he does. He should have at least an L right now. Fury domesticated this clown.

Ortiz goes a few and gets popped out for $70.00. Watch and learn...

Ortiz gets koed, that's a done deal. Wilder goes on about fighting the winner of the Andy/AJ. AJ beats Andy on points for a possible rubber match. Wilder fights Fury in 2021 and loses a close decision.

Watch as it unfolds, you'll see I'm right.

              Surprise

Look for Wilder to do a mixture of Mayweather and Hearns

              Keeping distance w quick 1..2s

              Winning rounds...keeping steady

Ortiz is not about to shake a Hornets nest

He will jab jab to body trying not to get ko

There will be booing from the crowd as Wilder is taking his time

By round 11...Ortiz will have to be more aggressive...he will get stunned bringing crowd to feet

              Wilder wins 7-5, 8-4..

Bring on the pear shaped Gypsy king

What about the possibility of Fury getting an even count once Wilder catches him again, within 8. I’d say Fury was the lucky chap

I’d still say both Ortiz and Ruiz begs a Tyson Fury

                    My head says Wilder.
                    My heart says Ortiz.

Now if only OLDtiz can pull a Ruiz and turn the HW division on its head that would be something!!

Too bad Wilder is not taking Ortiz as lightly as Anthony took Andy.
