  • Comments Thread For: Korobov: When I Beat Eubank, It Will Force Charlo To Give Rematch

Matt Korobov is vowing to upset the odds when he faces popular British boxer Chris Eubank Jr. - who is dropping back down to the middleweight division. They will battle for the interim-WBA middleweight title, on December 7th from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

No way he’s getting that rematch.

Charlo is taking that gift W and running with it. Korobov isn’t a draw and nobody cares about him, so they will see no point in that risk. Sad but true. Korobov got shafted and won’t get anywhere near a rematch.

Indeed. He’s better try to become mandatory while Charlo still has the belt if he wants a rematch.

Very excited to see this match. I think ultimately next gen will be too physical for him to handle

Korobov is not getting another shot now that Charlo knows that he’s a real deal and a threat. And they said nobody wants to fight Charlo?

Eubank Jr's pace and tank will be too much for Korobov. This is Eubank's American debut so he will look for the impressive stoppage

I think Eubank will be too big too strong for Korobov. Eubank will not box, he will go ham and swing for the fences and I think that will be too much for Korobov who is not a big puncher and slows down in the 2nd half where Eubank only gets stronger and fiercer.

Korobov is facing a better fighter than Jermall Charlo in CEJ. Also, Eubank has a style that is all wrong for the Russian advanced amateur. I see the Brit stopping the Russian in this one.

I think Korobov has all of the characteristics of the fighters who have soundly beaten Eubanks so far. It will be interesting to see if Eubanks has learned anything new, to try and change the script. It could be that he comes on strong late, throwing wild volume. We will see! Very curious scrap and credit to Eubanks for taking the fight (though i'm not sure there are many other options for him at this stage)
