Comments Thread For: Chavez Aims To Shock Jacobs, Get Canelo Rematch at 168 or 175

Former world champion Julio Csar Chvez Jr (51-3-1, 33 KOs) is not walking away from the opportunity to relaunch his career. Chavez is under a hot seat right now, but he intends to push forward with a planned fight against fellow ex-beltholder Daniel Jacobs (35-3, 39 KOs) on December 20, in a super middleweight contest from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jr is in no position to dictate terms.

Canelo won't go down or should not go down.

Chavez Jr at light heavy is gonna get hurt!

So is this fight even likely to go ahead? If so, jr should just focus on that and not think about Canelo at all. As if the weight would make any difference to the outcome.

I don't know.. I think the rematch at 175 would be more competitive.. Because Jr. Will be a heavyweight come fight night.. Lmao! Jr. Had zero energy.. But he had to make weight to get that check!! Lmao! They should do it in mexico!

Canelo vs Chavez Jr was by far the worst high profile all Mexican match up ever. Can't believe there were a million idiots who paid to see it. Hope that rematch never happens under any circumstances.
