  • Comments Thread For: Wilder-Ortiz PBC Countdown Draws Series Best Ratings of 2019

The heavyweight title fight rematch between Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz continues to move the needle. On the heels of establishing a ratings record for its PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) Fight Camp series, Saturday's PBC Countdown special dedicated to the Nov. 23 Fox Sports Pay-Per-View pulled a season-best 686,000 viewers according to Nielsen Media Research. The hour-long reality-style segment aired deep into the evening, debuting in the East Coast immediately following network coverage of college football (shortly after 11:30pm ET) and 11:00pm in the Pacific time zone (PT), well beyond primetime network coverage and with competing boxing telecasts on two separate platforms.

    Haymon and PR

This is what Haymon brings to the table

In a few years his fighters will have 1 to 3 million ppv fights
Wilder vs Ruiz will do that easy

Last week PBA bowling had 1.5 million viewers on Fox. This must mean that bowling should get millions of ppv buys. Bull riding also gets millions of viewers when it has football as a lead in. This must mean that bull riding will be massively successful on pay per view.

Nice! Wish it would help ticket sales though. Those are moving at snail's pace.

This should be a much quicker knock out if Wilder comes in the same as in his Dominic fight.
