Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz Reveals That He Rejected Offer From WWE

IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz has no interest in getting involved in a WWE match. He was approached by the pro wrestling organization a few months ago, but rejected their advances to fully focus on the upcoming rematch with Anthony Joshua, which is scheduled for December 7 in Saudi Arabia.

Whether you like him or not, whether you believe he will beat Joshua again or not. He's not an actor or a joke.

He’s not trying to fake punch some wrassler in front of pimply faced teens. Good for him.

He requested to be paid in Snickers... WWE could gather the five million in Snickers, the resource just weren't there.

Why would he volunteer that he didn’t want to do it?

Oh yeah, because he’s jealous of all the publicity Tyson Fury is getting for it.

“Oh yeah, I didn’t even want too!”

Had he accepted, it would have jinxed him. Buster Douglas went after his shock of Tyson, then got dominated by Evan Fields.

Holyfield went, then two months later got clean decisioned by Ibragimov.

It's a curse for boxers. Unless your name is Floyd Mayweather.

Yeah he doesn’t need the publicity. He’s a star. If and when he wins again, and I think he will, he will come back to PBC a unified champ and be far more accessible to an American public that has a “soft spot” for underdog likeable winners
