Comments Thread For: Devin Haney Opponent Selection Continues For KSI-Paul Card

Devin Haney's place is secure on the Nov. 9 DAZN card, even as the hunt remains to finalize an opponent for the occasion. The unbeaten lightweight will enjoy his fourth fight of a breakthrough 2019 campaign, as he will serve in supporting capacity to the rematch between (and respective pro debuts of) YouTube celebrities KSI and Logan Paul. The show takes place at Staples Center, marking the first career appearance in the greater Los Angeles area for Las Vegas' Haney (23-0, 15KOs), who turns 21 a week after the event.

Keeping busy is a really good thing.

He'll probably get a title shot next year. Either against Loma, or for the vacant WBC belt when Loma moves back to 130.

There isn't a whole lot he can do in the meantime, except keep busy, keep refining his skills, keep getting paychecks. I suppose he could try to get himself into the mandatory spot for the other belts as well? I don't know how possible that would even be.

Good to see fighters staying where they belong - in the ring. I wish there were more boxers keeping busy like that.

Haney is in that tough no man's land...young enough to be slow-walked...talented enough to be in with the top guys right now probably...will be interesting to see what his next few fights are and when his first true step up comes
