Comments Thread For: Teddy Atlas: No Margin For Error For Gvozdyk Versus Beterbiev

PHILADELPHIA Teddy Atlas considers Artur Beterbiev and Adonis Stevenson vastly different types of opponents for Oleksandr Gvozdyk. Atlas acknowledged, though, that one important thing will remain the same for Gvozdyk versus Beterbiev as it was when he defeated Stevenson 10 months ago. Beterbiev, like Stevenson, is such a devastating puncher that Gvozdyk cannot afford to make a single tactical error in their light heavyweight title unification fight Friday night.

Wats up with Teddy Atlas not saying anything about GGG vs Derevyachenko??? I thought for sure he would have spoken about it but I guess he got paid to stay quiet! It really surprises me though for a guy who loves to claim curuption

Again, Teddy is full of it!

Again, Teddy is full of it!
"According to Atlas, Stevenson nailed Gvozdyk with only one flush punch throughout a fight Gvozdyk won by 11th-round knockout December 1 at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada."

Watch that fight yourself and see that Atlas is always more impressed with exaggerations than the truth. Worst of all, when the he is working the corner, he love the camera and the microphone more than his boxer.

Let's just say he better not have a "Tommy Karpency moment"... Cause this time, he won't get the chance to recover.

Gvozdyk is battle proven against higher level opposition than Beterbiev. He has Atlas to provide the gameplan and mentality to get the UD. We'll see if the Russian can sustain effective pressure and land his power punches ,, interesting fight

I guess you didn't see Beterbiev vs Callum Johnson...
This is a great match up and the best we can hope for in the current talent rich light heavyweight division. The easy prediction would seem to be Gvozdyk by decision or Beterbiev by KO but this is a 50/50 fight between two elite boxers where anything can happen.
