As a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Terence Crawford couldn't ask for any better platform to formally announce his next fight. The unbeaten three-division and reigning welterweight titlist has officially signed for a mandatory title defense versus undefeated challenger Egidijus Mean Machine' Kavialauskas. The bout will take place Dec. 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with ESPN to televise live immediately following network coverage of the annual Heisman Trophy awards ceremony.

      "He has nothing to lose"

The go to line when facing an obviously over-matched opponent.

"Young Hungry Lion" is sometimes used as well.

Crawford made the right choice resigning with Top Rank. Their talent are better influences. You have high character guys like Tim Bradley and Andre Ward doing commentary. You got a model citizen like Bob Arum running the show. The top rank fighters arent a band of alcoholics like a bunch of those pbc guys.

                  One thing's for sure

With Errol on the shelf Bud is without question the best welterweight on the planet

He should be able to capitalize on Spence's absence. Top rank better not fck this up

Crawford vs Danny Porter or Thurman

You have to be joking. That's the worst possible decision he could of made. He could of signed with a place that has more than a half dozen top ten WW to fight. Now they just ***** about having no one to fight and say he's being ducked but he's not. PBC has options for everyone and it just makes better sense to fight in-house. Also I know Crawford is extremely talented but he has beaten 0 tops fighters. He's been a slew of B level fighters and decent and even some solid opponents for a champion to fight but he's never fought the best or even top 5 guys. If he signed with PBC last year he would of been going on his 3rd straight fight against a top gun.
