  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Really Hard To Find Opponents For Dmitry Bivol

NEW YORK Eddie Hearn acknowledges that Dmitry Bivol won't go up against an elite light heavyweight when he encounters Lenin Castillo on Saturday night in Chicago. As one of three promoters working with Bivol, however, finding fighters that are willing to box Bivol, and for reasonable purses, has become a challenging chore. Securing an opponent for this outing was particularly difficult because the three light heavyweight champions Bivol really wants to face already were committed to high-profile, profitable fights of their own.

Having Bivol fight in South Korea isn't a bad idea.

I still don't get why TR wasn't even an option for Bivol. Like WTF is going on there? Is it that Bivol's team wants too much and TR can't pay him what he's looking for or what? Bivol with the rest of the ESPN LHWs is where he needs to be.

But if he is staying at DAZN because they are paying him great money? No problem, just hope he could get Smith in 2020 or possibly even Jacobs at 168.

But they weren't even in the hunt for his services. How does that make any sense? Like something bizarre is going on here. Is Bivol's team asking for THAT much money that TR decided to pass on this or what?

Bivol is campaigning at 168 and 175 and has a world title. You’re saying you could only find the 100ty ranked LHW? **** off lol

Rafael and Bivol's manager said they were contemplating between DAZN's and PBC's offers. Top Rank was not even in consideration SMH.

Gotta be hangups in the business side but all I heard from Zurdo Rameriz is how much he wants to fight Bivol. Maybe the problem is if Zurdo beats Bivol top rank will controll all four belts. Irritating! I think those are the two best at LHW and both are ready. Zurdo's been inactive for too long.
