Comments Thread For: Witherspoon Warns Usyk: Heavyweight is a Totally Different Game

Witherspoon (38-3 29 KOs) second cousin of former two-time World Heavyweight ruler Tim Witherspoon, is unbeaten in five years with his last win coming in March in Atlantic City over Santiago Silgado and now the 38 year old Philadelphian gets a huge opportunity to pull off a massive upset as Ukrainian pound-for-pound king Usyk moves up to Heavyweight after leaving the Cruiserweight division as the undisputed ruler.

Let's hope he lives up to his word...would love to see an upset here and put Usyk firmly back in his place (in the cruiserweight division).

Usyk has better wins just in TWSOB at Heavyweight then a lot of current guys in top 10 , Witherspoon has none. I bet Usyks sparring with Wlad is by far harder then this actual fight. He was also Sirenkos sparring partner ,nothing Witherspoon does will be remotely good enough.

I agree Chazz, unfortunately he’s fighting against you so we won’t learn anything about his ability at heavyweight.

The best version of Witherspoon couldn't handle Seth Mithell. This is such a horrible mis-match but team Usyk weren't looking for a quality opponent anyways. I mean they wanted Spong. I admire Spong as a kickboxer but as a boxer he's very average.

Didn't team Usyk want Takam for their debut?
