Comments Thread For: Hearn Backs Deontay Wilder To Win Tyson Fury Rematch

The second time is the charm, according to promoter Eddie Hearn. Hearn feels confident that WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will topple Tyson Fury in a planned rematch for February of 2020. Wilder and Fury fought to a controversial twelve round split draw in December 2018, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

I’ve noticed Hearn has really cleaned up his interviews of late....by and large the “I’m taking over American boxing” bravado is gone. I don’t hear him badmouthing PBC fighters who don’t want to sign with dazn anymore either.....”things that make you go hmmmmmmm”

Fury is a good fighter though so Hearn just said you cannot get reckless against one but suggests that's why wilder will win ? Hearn also forgets Fury punched Wilder right in the face early to let him know he will counter all Wild swings so that's going to be easier said then done. Hearn always has picked wilder because he still has to hope for the AJ super fight but I don't see it happening , Fury will retire Wilder from his belt at least. a strong counter puncher would knock Wilder out.

This is Eddie B sample saying - I dislike Wilder, but I do need to play nice with Haymon. I flat out HATE fish eyes and F Arum for trolling me

Hearn gets hard off of dreaming about signing deontay.Hearn needs to focus on keeping these European fighters off roids and fighting with some integrity. There hasn't been a all natural European talent since Lennox Lewis

I think Wilder stops Fury it gets stopped. He doesn’t want it going to the cards and I think he figured some holes in Fury’s style late in the fight. Yet it TYSON Fury is the result is anyone’s guess depends which version shows up.

Lennox was more Canadian and Jamaican if anything....kid grew up playing Grid Iron football and basketball...and really wanted to play those sports above boxing.
