Mexican pugilist Alfredo "Perro" Angulo is more than willing to get back on track with finalizing a deal to face countryman Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. This past Saturday night at the Rabobank Theater in Bakersfield, California, Angulo pulled off a big upset in winning a ten round split decision over former world champion Peter Quillin in a super middleweight contest.

This would be better as a Buried Alive match.

Solid fight for both men. A true crossroads fight. Angulo looked good, but didn't seem to have the wear withal to sustain a continuous offense. He took his foot off the gas peddle every once in a while. But he was durable and was persevered. Chavez Jr. looked good against an opponent he was supposed to look good against so it's harder to gauge him. He clearly can still move so at this point it comes down to how bad does he want it? Is he willing to fight through adversity when things start to heat up? Good fight.

Angulo leaves the fight brain damaged. Not that Jr. Is some killer but he's bigger and stronger and Angulo has completely forgotten the concept of moving your head outta the way of punches. He literally just kept coming face first against Quillin following him around the ring eating flush jabs until he got close enough to let his hands go.

This guy won't retire until he's put in a coma. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on DAZN fighting Brandon Rios or on Fox against Lara for a 'world' title. These scumbag promoters have no scruples and keep putting him in fights. It's just a tragedy waiting to happen.

Angulo looked very sluggish against Quillin, who by the way is all done in the big time boxing. If Abgulo beat you it means you are done. It's disgusting how they make Angulo believe that he has a run for a world title now? Angulo if he fights Chavez it will be mortal for his career. Chavez is bigger and younger in ring wars. Chavez will be coming in at 175 on night fight and will destroy Angulo. Chavez is a bum, but he still fresher than Angulo.

JCCJr is such a damn bottom-feeder. Actually, I suppose both guys could be called bottom-feeders here.
