It just doesn't make any sense to Devin Haney. Friday's DAZN-headlining landslide win over Russia's Zaur Abdullaev (11-1, 7KOs) at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater in New York City netted the Las Vegas-based boxer the interim World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight title. The idea is to parlay the strap into a shot at the full version of the title, which is one of three belts currently in the possession of Vasiliy Lomachenko (14-1, 10KOs).

Its fear of losing & not being able to make more money down the road. They don't want any smoke & neither do his weak fans.

Top guys are too busy fighting... well... top guys! Teo Lopez is fighting Commey for a belt and Lomachenko is fighting the winner for a historical unification.

Devin is great but he needs to fight Tank or Cambell so that he can bring something to the table. ESPN and DAZN worked out the deal for Cambell vs Loma and if the money works they'll do it again.

Posted the exact same thing after his fight on Friday

That is a Stylistic Nightmare but I would like to see him in some step ups with some former world championsat least before jumping in with Loma
            Javier Fortuna
            Rances Barthelemy
            Jorge Linares

any one of those guys would be a great test for him

The difference is that Joshua put up 120 million and Wilder said no. Haney doesn't draw yet and Hearn isn't willing to pay for it. The ESPN/DAZN complication is nonsense, they both put together Campbell vs Loma so there is no reason why they wouldn't do it again.

Don’t understand the reason for Lomochenko not to fight this kid.

This prize fighting business side of the sport of boxing, I could careless about. If it’s a smaller older and shopworn fighter Arum and Team Lomochenko are all over that and make the fight.

Now you got a young fast bigger fighter who wants to fight you.......we come with excuses?

Lopez-Commey won’t get Lomo next since Lomo will fight some guy in Australia a part of his world tour I guess. Haney will be Lomochenko’s WBC mandatory or is already but there will be a loop hole to avoid the fight
