Comments Thread For: Benavidez: ******* Ordeal Did More Good Than Bad For Me

A year after testing positive for ******* cost him the WBC super middleweight title, David Benavidez is back in position to regain it. If Benavidez beats Anthony Dirrell on September 28, the undefeated Phoenix native is certain that the ordeal has better prepared him to behave like a champion inside and outside the ring this time around.

Respect for picking yourself back up Champ after a mistake. We all make them because we are human.

I got Benavidez stopping Dirrell by 10. He is younger...stronger...and hungrier.

I hope the best for Benavidez but failing a test for a drug that can get out of your system rather quickly isn't a good look for a fighter. ******* is 1 of the most highly addictive drugs in the world. That's why I wont try it because knowing myself, Id like it.

I agree with his logic that it actually helped him in the long run. If benavidez wouldn't have gotten caught now, the ******* problem would have just gotten worse. Better to have this learning experience at the age of 22 vs the age of 27.

Based on what I've seen from Dirrell and Benevidez...David should win this by mid-round stoppage...Dirrell just has nothing left imo

I dig David, but its often a sign that you arent the smartest mfer when your bad moments are other mfers bad moments. With his potential he shoulda done been up on downfalls others have had like coke. So that to me says hes got some future dumb sh^t moments but lets see.

Kid gots HOF potential to me, but if he f#cks up again in the next year or two he might not anymore or have as much of it.
