    It's shameful that the USA had to bring in an outsider to revive the amateur boxing program. We never should have let things deteriorate to that point from our heyday.

    But kudos to Billy Walsh for changing the culture and putting things on (hopefully) the right track. Let's see how many medals they can bring back from the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

        US Olympic Amateur circuit is dead and will not be revived.

        Boxers don't want to get hit in the face for free. So our best boxers won't fight the Olympics any time soon.
