Comments Thread For: Jose Ramirez-Viktor Postol Targeted For Super Bowl Weekend

MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV - Jose Ramirez enjoyed a big 2019 campaign. After defeating Jose Zepeda by majority decision in February, he stopped Maurice Hooker in 6 rounds in their July unification bout. Ramirez already held the WBC super lightweight title and with the victory added the WBO belt to his collection.

Is this a joke??? Superbowl weekend??? That's way too far out. It's not even an intriguing matchup. Even at like 90 years, Bob Arum will do anything to get blood from a stone and draw things out. Well...people in the tribe are going to do what people in the tribe usually do.

Too long a wait for February 2020 for Viktor Postol and then Jack Catterall to get a unification with Regis Prograis. Just when Jose Ramirez was all the way up. This old hand injury SUCKS!

Arum is pushing his usual bull****, but he's talking to press so it won't matter.

Regis Prograis will push for the fight, Ramirez will give up the WBC belt due to injury, Ramirez still gets his TBA fight for that weekend (while Prograis likely fights Postol), Ramirez will take on Catterall early in the summer, and if Ramirez wins that, Arum will try to get the fight and options on Program for fall 2020.

The WBC isn't going to have Postol wait another 5 months for his owed title shot, and they sure aren't going to freeze out their Diamond champion Regis Prograis either.

It clearly said Ramirez hurt his hand and even coming back at December would be too soon. Not Ramirez fault the wbc has postol as a mandatory

Postol is a top 5 jr. welter. He's a legitimate contender but people in this forum are going to bitch and complain like they always do.
