Which was the point, they know Wilder won't fight AJ. Even if Ruiz wins he won't be fighting until April or May so Wilder just wants to avoid Fury a rematch he wanted when only the loser persues.

It wouldn't surprise me that once Ruiz does away with Joshua again which I expect then Wilder would sooner fight Ruiz than Fury again. I would imagine Ruiz being easier to hit with his massive power and slow feet compared to what we saw of Fury against him. Plus of course they are both Americans and they've stated it would be easy to make.Then look to Tyson to put an end to Joshua in a Wembley Stadium masterclass.
