  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney: After We Win, We Expect To Face Lomachenko

Don't count Devin Haney among those who believe Vasiliy Lomachenko is an unstoppable force. The Ukrainian southpaw added a third lightweight belt to his arsenal following a 12-round points win over Luke Campbell this past Saturday on the road in London, England. Throughout the fight and well into the weekend came kneejerk reaction suggesting that the two-time Olympic Gold medalist and three-division titlist is far and beyond the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world today.

Mess with Loma at this stage and end up with a SHORT career!

I think Haney will be a stud but there’s levels to this. Haney may never even develop to be as good as Loma (no shame in that) but fighting him NOW would be the dumbest thing he could do. He’s beyond not ready.

He's not even ready for a decent titlist like Campbell much less an atg like Loma. Keep dreaming while fighting nobodies youngster.

Why do you guys care if he is "ready" or not? He wants the fight and he will be the mandatory so let him get his shot. You complain about fighters ducking but then you have fighters wanting the big dogs and they get killed as well. Lopez/Haney want that Lomachenko smoke, it shouldn't matter if you think they are ready or not. Let them go and get embarrassed if that's what ends up happening.

A reporter asked why the WBC sanctioned the only fight without a Mayan belt? Sulaman quickly responded, "Eddie Hearn"...he muttered almost questioning his explination, "ummm, because Hearn doesn't know how to promote black fighters"? The room went awkwardly silent, everyone looked around until one guy started laughing so hard he shot milk out of his nose. Then like a flash mob...the entire room was literally on their knees laughing, holding their gut, pissing their nickers. One person claimed they shat their pants.

Hours later a high ranking representative from the WBC, speaking on condition of anonymity *admitted* "mauricio suliman already gave the belts away to two fights that have nothing to do with the WBC." In addition he said, "we're working closely with Josie and Maran, the two women that made the Mayan belt with the snake like ornament to see if they could rectify the situation , pop out another belt." As of Tuesday it was widely reported that Josie and Maran were not on speaking terms because Josie put sprinkles on the snake decoration....

Lol...EF these garbage man fans. I think Haney wins the competitive fight. Either way let’s see it!!!

You guys are funny. Everyone knew Luke Campbell would lose to Loma, yet none y’all had a Luke Campbell defense plan. Some how each of you was quite content to see it playout.

However... anytime the guy is a real threat to your hero, y’all all want to prevent the fight to keep the opponents career on track?

GTFOH ... You guy cheerleaders are so tired. No one believes you anymore. You have all been identified as man fans masqueradin as boxing fans.

What’s happening, is there not enough seats at the WWE match? Go get your fake sport fix there you Lover Man Junkies.

Hopefully Loma believes in himself more than this new contingent of fake @ss fans. If Loma is number one in the universe he has to prove it. No one in the sport gets anointed. And even when they prove it, every day still active is requiring you keep proving it. That’s boxing.

If Sulaimoney will pick the referee and judges for his next fight, Haney better make sure Zaur gets KO'd. That's the obstacle in front of him, not Loma.
