Tevin Farmer doesn't understand what more he can do to get Joseph Diaz Jr. in the ring. The reigning super featherweight titlist cleared the second of back-to-back mandatory challengers off his plate following a landslide points win over France's Guillaume Frenois in July. The win freed up the born-and-bred Philadelphia (Pa.) southpaw to fight whomever he pleases for his next outing, which he hopes to take place this fall.

Wait, did I read that right? Farmer isn't under contract with Hearn? Then take the 2 mil and go fight Tank on Showtime!

There's more to it than that. Their previous deal ran out in July but Hearn is still involved in his career, at least through his next fight (and likely longer)

To what extent though? Can he not do a one off on Showtime then return to Hearn? If he is still working with Hearn then Eddie will still get paid and if he thinks Farmer will win then the title will be coming back and they'll have it to promote him even more as a unified champ

I agree 110%, I think Eddie has a strong hold on him though and is trying to use him to entice Davis to fight on dazn because Hearn wants access to Davis large Baltimore fan base

Maybe, but not if Eddie is gonna do him like he did Smith for fighting in the WBSS

I feel bad for that dude. Eddie definitely dropped the ball and didn't capitalize on that tourney win. Wouldn't blame Smith at all if he ends up leaving

Yeah I don't think Eddie believes Farmer can win, so his goal now is to get Tank on Dazn and possibly bring more money and attention to the platform because if he makes the fight then Farmer loses and there goes that title
