Undefeated WBO Super-Middleweight World Champion Billy Joe Saunders has signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, with his next fight to be announced next week. The signing was revealed during a press conference held Tuesday in England, confirming a previous report from BoxingScene.com.

"Welcome to the big league Billy Joe!" exclaimed promoter Eddie Hearn. "This is a huge signing for us and the perfect place for Billy to be. Everyone in boxing knows how good Billy is and now he is going to get the chance to prove it against the elite."

Only people who will be willing to fight him are the people he will duck; Andrade and Smith. Canelo and GGG don’t want it.

John Ryder or Eubank rematch coming

      Hopefully it's a unification vs. Callum Smith @ 168!

It’s just what Eddie needed. Matchroom were getting a bad rep for drug cheats, inactive belt-holders, problems outside the ring and Billy Joe will solve all of this

BJS definitely seems the type to be at his best when he has forward momentum career wise, and this move seemingly eradicates some obstacles that have hindered that in the past (those that he didn't create himself, anyway). Looking forward to see what comes of it at at the close of this year and next.

            Now that's funny.

BJS is a ducker. That his career best performance was against lemmeux says it all. A decent fighter but hardly the best. And BJS was taking PEDs

BJS is just going to be picking fights. This deal is nothing to get excited about

I’m giving him a chance to prove that wrong. It might have been Frank Warren holding him back, especially when it came to DAZN money

Let's face it, BJS was basically Warren's biggest name after Fury who is Arum's man now anyway.

It's understandable, Matchroom holds the cards at the minute, with the fighters, the broadcasters and the money, but still that must sting Warren.
