Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Think I Know Where Joshua-Ruiz Rematch is Heading

Eddie Hearn, promoter for Anthony Joshua, has a very good idea on where his company will stage the anticipated rematch with IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight world champion Andy Ruiz. The initial bout took place in June, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with Ruiz pulling off a major upset by stopping Joshua in the seventh round. Joshua went down four times in the bout.

When was this Sky Sports interview? Five days ago he said Ruiz would know the venue and location within 48 hrs. Now it's Monday and Hearn still doesn't have a final venue?!?!?

The Champions handlers didn't think he was gonna win so they screwed up the rematch clause, now Hearns is behaving like a 6i+ch boy and I am enjoying the comedy....but in all seriousness Andy will school AJ again

if its cardiff the fight dont happen

I cant understand why ed ***** don't understand the champ is not fighting in the uk,theres to many heavyweight dope heads ,slack judgements by ukad of its findings, endangerment of the away fighter, corrupt referees and judges,so the shows gonna have to head to Europe, south Africa or Dubai.or has the champ ruiz can decline the fight take up a mandatory and pay a fine..cant make that any more clear

Hearn can't confirm until fat boy signs the contract. We all know fat boy is trying his best to avoid the fight.

They want to it in the UK so Joshua can juice and even if he fails a test he will still get cleared to fight without notifying Ruiz just like Dillian the hypocrite juicer Whyte. I actually liked Dillian Whyte up until now and I saw what they did to Oscar Rivas in this situation..

This is old news .Edward and and old man Hearn are struggling to get their own way for a change....Maybe the are beginning to understand the even with a rematch contract in place and certain conditions losing the titles and no longer being champion puts a slightly different slant on matters as the new champion wants a level plating field and not the Hearns nonsense.

Eddie, just give us the venue already so fat Ruiz can go to work and eat that English muffin, it will be Cardiff, right?

Why would he? He won the first fight pretty confidently. On top of that, he'll probably get even more money for the second fight - he can easily retire after it and be set for life
