Comments Thread For: Kownacki: It's A Big Deal To Be The Headliner At Barclays

For as long as he's served as a reliable ticket seller, Adam Kownacki has never enjoyed the honor of being the star of the show. That changes this Saturday, and at a place he's long called home. The unbeaten Poland-born, Brooklyn-based contender serves as the A-side attraction atop a Fox-televised tripleheader live from the famed Barclays Center. Kownacki will played the venue for the ninth time in his career as he faces three-time heavyweight title challenger Chris Arreola (38-5-1, 33KOs).

Kownacki is one of my favorites. I'd love to see him and Andy Ruiz duke it out.🥊

Going to be a great fight 2 high work-rate Fighters clashing. Arreola has enough left in his tank to bring an exciting fight, crazy to think that some of the highest stamina fighting Heavyweights have Dad bods. Andy Ruiz & Adam kownacki are 2 guys that put pressure on their opponent and throw non-stop punches for 12 straight rounds.

This version of Arreola is almost in his prime like when he fought Stiverne in the rematch. Arreola was so competitive in that fight several years ago. Like wine I expect that he has improved with age. I can’t wait to see this barnburner.

The days of Brawling heavyweight champions that are overweight are never going to happen. This isn't the welterweight division where you can outweigh a guy by 10-15 pounds and just wear him down while taking his shots. Andy Ruiz is chubby but he has serious skills, slips punches, uses lateral movement coming forward and isn't a Brawler.

Dang you're lucky! I'm all the way down in Florida. I was seriously considering flying up to see Wilder-Breazeale but after watching was kinda glad I didn't spend the coin haha. Reminded me of an early Mike Tyson fight when I was a kid.

I was there for that. What a combo from Wilder! Barclay's is a great boxing venue!

You should definitely check the place out. Good vibe for boxing! Just make sure it's a decent card. I usually go regardless but I am a lot closer than you are!
