          ...China?

Of all the Asian counties with boxing, China probably is near the bottom. Mongolia has better boxers than China lol (Looking at you, King Tug)

Yes... hence the hiring of Mayweather for advice and counseling.

Have the olympics even confirmed boxing for 2020 yet? All of the young amateurs have been turning pro over the last two years because they don’t want to wait. That’s the only way I see China grabbing medals.

People are people, man, there's nothing in genetics that prevents someone from being an elite boxer - in fact not much in genetics which separates us as a species at all, despite the popularity of the idea that melanin levels actually mean shit ... if China had a tradition of boxing they'd do just as well as everyone else. PED use is a concern of course, but China ain't exactly the first offenders.

EDIT: I for one really look forward to the great population centres of East Asia: China and India, becoming more involved in the sport and hope that one day we'll live in a world where the African nations have a strong enough infrastructure to support the sport properly. More countries involved in boxing is a good thing, man.
