Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Smiles: Teofimo Lopez Went Twelve With a Nobody

Last week, undefeated lightweight Teofimo Lopez went twelve rounds for the first time in his career, when he picked up a tougher than expected unanimous decision win over Japan's Masayoshi Nakatani in an IBF final eliminator.

Lopez seems to have a bright future.
He and his father just need to tone it down a bit and let his fists do all the talking in the ring.
The big fights we come in good time.

This midget has the nerve to call out Teofimo for going the distance with a king undefeated 6’0 LW yet he went the distance with Pedraza who’s got blown away by Davis easily.

      This dude is a joke

I'm pretty sure Nakatani would provide a tougher fight for Loma than Linares or Pedraza. Dude was tall, long reach, could take a punch, had a nice jab, and most of all knew how to throw a straight right off of the jab.

I think its a bit hypocritical for Lomachenko to say that considering he went the distance with Pedraza when Davis took him out in 8th. I guess its Loma's observation, but at least he should not be saying he would have beaten Lopez because he went to distance with that guy.

Lopez is 21 and still improving. Loma lost to Salido and went the distance with nobodies as well earlier in his career.

so a longtime champion in Linares and a two weight champ in Pedraza is a less of a challenge than a guy unproven in the world circuit?? Come on now guys, let’s not do this now, Lopez didn’t have a good performance and sometimes that’s what happens in boxing but Loma ain’t wrong in saying this lol
