  • Comments Thread For: Whyte-Rivas Weigh-In Report From London

Dillian Whyte has spent the past several months running his mouth about how he's the most avoided heavyweight contender in the world today. At this point, he's best served to do his talking in the ring given the negative statement he made at the scales. The top-rated heavyweight from England by way of Jamaica is set for his first fight of 2019 as he collides with unbeaten Oscar Rivas this Saturday at O2 Arena in London, England. The interim version of the World Boxing Council title will be at stake, which will put the winner in direct path to challenge for the full version of the crown currently held by long-reigning champion Deontay Wilder.

He was gassing at the end of the Parker fight. But he pulled it out. He's a heavyweight, no big deal. But it might be best if he gets down to about 225/230

He acc came in 5 pounds lighter than what was initially reported. His weight was 254 not 259. But the hate the guy or not, this report looks pretty biased against Whyte lol

fat slob he has not been training hard otherwise would not be this weight he is not taller than Joshua so should not be above 18 stone.

too much money too soon before he got a title. Rivas looks in shape, this is not Ruiz please remember

Well Rivas is near 6'0 so yea hes going to be lighter then a 6'4 guy ????

This type of article really could back fire and should have been put on stand by since Whyte did defeat Parker at around this weight and will be more comfortable now .

Whyte should be near 250 though ,rivas is far more active then Parker ,the weight will help more only if Rivas is pressured ,he will tire faster if you make his punch counts higher early.

Ha, I've taken a beating on twitter over this today. I actually do like Dillian Whyte and think it's disgusting that the WBC has jerked him around for as long as they have.

I admit I was very harsh here, just feel like this is his chance to put something behind MONTHS of talk. Of course, he can still very much prove it in the ring where it counts.
