  • Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: I'll Be Able To Make 135 For a Few More Fights

Lopez (13-0, 11 KOs) and Nakatani (18-0, 12 KOs) will meet Friday at MGM National Harbor in an IBF world title eliminator, with the winner assured a shot at world champion Richard Commey later this year. The stakes are high, and Lopez, who has never gone past seven rounds as a pro, might have to go significant professional rounds for the first time. The consensus 2018 Prospect of the Year, Lopez has knocked out his last five opponents, most recently stopping Edis Tatli in five rounds April 20 on the Terence Crawford-Amir Khan pay-per-view undercard

He just needs to stay long enough to knock Loma out. He gonna have his hands full at 140 though.

Don't kid yourself about him knocking Loma out. Loma will make him miss and box circles around him. There are levels to this game.

I have been following this kid since the beginning of his career and attended three of his fights. He is obviously a huge talent but Loma is a P4P great. Would like to see Lopez with a few more wins before he tangles with Lomachenko. Would be a great fight late next year!

It's been funny that, for whatever reason, once Loma gave that interview pushing back against Lopez's brash talk...that I haven't really heard anything at all from Lopez since...I would give him a shot in that fight though...he may just be too big for Loma...only way you can beat him imo
